Currently, there are two main types of dentures that can be purchased. The first type is complete dentures and the second type is partial dentures.

After that is done you will be asked to come back at a later date so you can have a “try on appointment”. At that appointment you will have to make sure that your cosmetic dentures teeth fit you properly and match with the color of your actual teeth. What are all the different types of cosmetic dentures teeth?

  • Complete dentures: Complete dentures replace all of your teeth. Usually, they will require for you to have some teeth pulled before you start wearing them.
  • Immediate dentures: Immediate dentures are done all at once. They also will require for teeth to be pulled.
  • Upper dentures: Upper dentures are dentures for the upper teeth only, as their name hints.
  • Over dentures: Over dentures are very similar to complete dentures. However, with this form of dentures you will not have to have all of your teeth pulled. Matter of fact they require for you to keep one or two of your teeth so they dentures will be able to be supported properly. However, they do cost more than the other types of dentures and it will take longer for the process to be complete.
  • Partial dentures: Partial dentures only are used to cover the spaces where you are missing teeth. They do not require you to have your teeth pulled and they also prevent your teeth from decaying.
